NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is known for its unique team format and vibrant atmosphere, but golfers were in for a surprise when an alligator disrupted play on hole 17.

A timeout was called around noon on day one of the event as the alligator slowly crawled across the tee box, causing a temporary delay in the tournament.
